Job Title: Data Engineer
Job Overview: As a data engineer in the Data Analytics Department at Estudios Tecnicos Inc, your role will be focused on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and other data-related infrastructure to support clients’ data needs. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other members of the consulting team to ensure that data is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining data integration solutions to collect and aggregate data from various sources.
- Designing and implementing databases, data lakes, data warehouses, and other data storage solutions
- Designing data models, creating data schemas, and defining data structures that support the analytics needs of clients
- Developing and maintaining ETL processes to clean, transform, and enrich data before it is stored in the data warehouse or data lake
- Ensuring data quality through data validation and data profiling processes to detect and resolve data quality issues
- Ensuring that data is secured and protected through encryption, access control, and other security measures
- Defining and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Performance tuning of data pipelines, databases, and other data-related infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, data analytics, and data science and applying them to client solutions to provide innovative and effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets.
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Python or R is a plus.
